We are saddened to hear of the death of Cpl Jon Ward. Jon had supported us for a number of years, with some incredible running challenges including running 100 marathons in a year to mark the RAF 100 as well as becoming the first person to run the North East 250 tourist trail.
"As the Forces' Sweetheart, Vera Lynn inspired a generation of serving personnel & the wider public during WW2. She went on to champion their cause in the decades since, right up to the VE Day 75 celebrations last month. A true hero for the heroes she supported.” AVM Chris Elliot
Well done to Jo for passing her level 3 certificate in Activity Provision in Social Care. Looking forward to seeing her continue to put it into practice 👏👏
The Fund has stood side by side with the RAF Family during its toughest times and the coronavirus pandemic is no exception.
The welfare of our beneficiaries and staff have been and will continue to be at the forefront of all that we do.

“We had hoped to celebrate the 75th anniversary of #VEDay at Princess Marina House, but unfortunately social distancing rules mean this isn’t possible. Instead, we decided to take the celebrations to our guests.”

With the country in lockdown, staff and volunteers @PMH_RAFBF have taken the party to veterans living in West Sussex.
Handing out special VE Day care packages so they can celebrate safely at home. Special thanks to @compassgroupuk for their support.

I need your help to find members of our RAF Family who have fallen off the radar and who are in need of support, especially during these extraordinary and stressful times.
Our partner Veterans' Gateway has launched a new app which helps veterans find support organisations in their area using their smartphone📲 or tablet.
Follow the link to download the app and access a range of support, from finances to employment.

We are very pleased to welcome Air Vice-Marshal Chris Elliot who joins us today as our new Controller. AVM Elliot spent 35 years in the Royal Air Force. Her last role was Chief of Staff Personnel and Air Secretary, looking after the careers and welfare of RAF servicemen & women.
At Princess Marina we always put our guests first. People travel from many parts of the country and as many are older and have care needs we have taken the difficult decision to cancel stays, suspend bookings and stop Lunch Club. Go to https://t.co/JTZSjMR0Oo for more info.
Seeing the struggles that Wellies tearooms are having on BBC news last night, Rustington business man Mark Rockliffe took action. He called them and offered to pay for afternoon tea to be delivered to Princess Marina House for all of the guests and staff. Thank you Mark @RAFBF
