🚨New publication alert🚨
Several stroke rehab guidelines recommend 180 mins of therapy/day, 5 days/wk
We looked at:
➡️Average rehab intensity (RI) in Ontario
➡️Associations of RI with FIM🔺, discharge location, 90-day home time & rehab effectiveness
https://t.co/otlBZyB5aw
➡️ There was diminishing incremental increase in FIM🔺after 95 min/day
➡️ Is a 🎯RI of 95 min/day more feasible for resource limited institutions given these findings?

It’s great to see our work cited in this umbrella review. Although ⬆️ body weight or obesity ⬇️ mortality after stroke, the impact on functional recovery is less clear. However, being underweight is associated with poor functional outcomes post-stroke.
