I was in Cameroon in 1998 shortly after the death of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa when Rev Dr Uma Ukpai visited the city of Yaounde. It was a three day miracle crusade.
I had been to his meetings in Nigeria only once before I traveled to Cameroon. This was going to be my second time witnessing the miraculous moves in his meetings.
Right there in Yaounde, in that particular meeting, ten known crippled men and women walked. There were cases of blind eyes and deaf ears opening.
There were cases of various illnesses being cured. But there was something about this particular case of the crippled being healed. It was so swift. He was still speaking when their bones snapped back into place.
There were loud screams as these folks jumped out on their feet and started walking.
At that time in Yaounde, this was going to be the second Christian meeting that had such a profound impact after that of the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. What a legacy!
If there was a man who saw God, if there was a man who shook God's hand, if there was a man who had breakfast, lunch and dinner with God, that man was Rev Dr Uma Ukpai.
Blessed be the God of Rev Dr Uma Ukpai
Blessed be the memory of Rev Dr Uma Ukpai
Blessed be the seeds which he dropped upon the earth. They shall be mighty in the land.
Farewell God's servant, as you take a journey of no return to the yonder place where the lights are shining bright.
You lived sweetly and died happily, and so will everyone who loves our LORD Jesus Christ.
Rest on, we shall see again!!!
