Ellen and I were with the dancers at the Greek Festival today at
St. Sophia. The festival goes until 10 PM tonight and tomorrow May 19th from noon until 7:00 PM.

I attended the ribbon cutting this morning for the Guilderland School district's 3.0 megawatt solar farm which is estimated to offset 58% of the school district's annual energy usage and reduce their bill by 20-25%. This will result in an est. 20 year savings of $4.5 million.

I participated in the kick-off today for Firefighters
Association State of New York, RecruitNY program that will be held at
area firehouses this weekend. I would like to encourage residents to
visit their local fire department this weekend if they are holding an open
house.

support our  active and retired employees

We filed our Democratic and Working Families Party nominating petitions today. We had 444 Democratic signatures more than 5 times the amount needed and we had 6 times the amount needed for the Working Families Party.
