Fun meeting tonight offsite! We had a club assembly, awarded Sarah as our newest bequest society member, and had a q&a session with a recent speaker, Kate Schilke.
Our Rotary Club loves RYLA! RYLA is a program in our district where a group of 19-32-year-olds spend a week learning about leadership and about themselves. Our club supports the program by sponsoring participants, speaking at the program, and offering other surprises!
At our promote demote event last night we awarded 4 checks to a few of our favorite local nonprofits:

Promote Demote 2023 is a wrap! Past president Josh handed the gavel over to Emily and we celebrated 4 of some of our favorite nonprofits with donations. Great night overall!
Did you know our Rotary club has a book club? We focus on social justice-related issues to help educate ourselves and learn how to be better allies for various topics. Last night we debriefed on "It Gets Better" by Dan Savage. Come join us!
We had another jam-packed Rotary meeting last night. We started off by welcoming a new member to our club, Jennifer Lieb! We then had a presentation about LEAP from Executive Director Seth Truby, who shared the history of LEAP and where they are today.
We had quite the meeting last night! First, we inducted our latest new member, Martin Kilbourne. Next, our speaker for the meeting was Jill Kuehler, the founder of Freeland Spirits, who shared her story and a few samples πΈ
Welcome our newest member, Christie Quinn! Christie is the founder of the "Bookmobile Babe", an organization dedicated to promoting the love of literacy to underserved communities in Portland, Oregon. We are excited to see what ideas she brings to our club!
