They're always an issue for ships, but acutely exacerbated by sitting idle in warm water for 90+ days.

Ifaik, barnacles on the hull are a pain and reduce speed/efficiency, whereas barnacles on propellors can cripple a ship.

Can be removed but will take take and will overwhelm service capacity, which will be stretched paper thin given that we're talking about trying to clean up 1,500+ ships at the same time.

An Iranian source told me the heavy gunfire heard near Bandar Abbas erupted after the IRGC targeted a vessel at sea, followed by U.S. fighter jets striking IRGC naval boats in the Gulf.

So Neil DeGrasse Tyson has flipped his script on the whole UFO thing. For such a staunch anti UFO'er to do such a thing.... That carries some weight. Especially being in the public eye, and being so adamantly against a theory/hypothesis/reality and to then U turn on it publicly takes a lot. I'm going to say good on him for making the U turn.. But i hope he learned from the experience to not prejudge and be so public about a topic in which he most likely had zero personal information on.
