Alder Lake Drowning
A 24-year-old male has not been located yet after falling off his paddleboard on June 24th around 4pm. The search was paused last night but resumed this morning.
We encourage everyone to stay out of the area at this time.
Officers are on the scene of a shooting in the 3600 blk S 152nd St. One adult male was struck by gunfire and is being treated by medics. His condition is unknown. The street will be closed in the area for the investigation.
Around 6:45 AM this morning, crews were dispatched to reports of a structure fire in the 15000 block of 66th Ave E in the Puyallup area. Upon arrival, crews found a mobile home with smoke and flames visible, and the occupant outside the residence. The occupant let crews know there was no one else inside, and they quickly stretched hose lines for a defensive fire attack. The occupant and their dog were displaced. The cause is under investigation by the Pierce County Fire Marshal’s office.
A total of 15 units responded to the incident, including 6 fire suppression units, 5 EMS units, and 4 command/support units.
Crews responded to a house fire in the 11500 block of Ainsworth Ave S in the Parkland area at approximately 9:45 AM this morning.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a working fire and deployed hoselines for an offensive fire attack. Thanks to a quick response, the fire was extinguished by 10:20 AM.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pierce County Fire Marshal’s Office.

As WSP received multiple 911 calls about this vehicle, a TZT (Target Zero Team) trooper observed it traveling the wrong way (SB in the NB lanes) on SR 167 near S. 180th St in Renton. The driver was stopped and arrested for DUI. - NJ

Dramatic video of the river rescue last night. EF&R, Fall City Fire, KCSO and Whidby Navel Helicopter Team worked to rescue two drivers caught in the swiftwaters. One ended up on the roof of their vehicle and the other in a tree. Stay home and don't travel unless necessary.
This morning around 0530 our dispatch received an Automated Crash Notification for a 1 car-tree collision on SR-101 at milepost 359. The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Tacoma General.
