We’re withdrawing! This platform has increasingly been used to spread misinformation, stoke division and incite violence, and we’d rather carry on our conversation elsewhere. Biggest thanks to our followers here! Come say hi on Bluesky (pnreview) and Threads (carcanetpress)! 👋🏼
Today we're sharing an excerpt from @byrobinepmyers' translation of @daniel_lipara ‘s poem Like Night Inside the Eyes that was published in the newest issue of PN Review! To read more of the poem, and the rest of the issue, subscribe via the link below.

I took my dime out of my mouth

Stanley was a close friend of PNR's editor Michael Schmidt. Michael's most recent poetry publication is named after their relationship: Talking to Stanley on the Telephone(Poetry Business, 2021). They're pictured here, Michael on left & Stanley on right. He will be sorely missed.
We are deeply saddened to share the news that Stanley Moss, poet, longtime friend of the press & close friend of Carcanet's MD Michael Schmidt for decades, died on Friday 5th July in New City, N.Y., aged 99.
He will be greatly missed. RIP Stanley. 🖤
