@Patrick39130637@CREWcrew Term limits (Senate, House and Supreme Court) and an end to Citizens United (2010) would be a good start to citizen representation.
Martha Stewart made $45,000 in profits. 👇🏼
They caught her. They prosecuted her. She spent five months in federal prison.
Members of Congress are making hundreds of millions.
And the head of the enforcement division tasked with policing this resigned last week.
She couldn’t get the agency focused on it.
Now let’s talk about the bipartisan nature of this corruption.
Because I want to be clear, this is not a Republican problem.
This is a Washington problem.
That’s the scandal.
As an American I am embarrassed by it.
As an American I want it to stop.
Get Citizens United off the books. Pass the Bets Off Act. Reinstate the Stock Act with teeth.
Or just keep watching them get rich while you pay the price.

@JoyAnnReid Just finished “Medgar and Myrlie.” Thank you. I am in awe of this couple and so interested in learning more. Your accurate portrayal of the many altered lives clarifies many blurred memories from that inauspicious time.

In 1939, singer Marian Anderson was told by the Daughters of the American Revolution that she couldn’t sing at Constitution Hall because she was Black.
In response, FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt immediately set up a concert at the National Mall. What happened was historic.
Millions tuned in to hear Anderson sing on the radio and she became a household name.
Mrs. Roosevelt announced that she would resign from the DAR.
A few months later, the First Lady invited Anderson to the White House to sing before King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England making history.
It wasn’t until 1952, when Anderson was invited to sing at Constitution Hall.
She accepted the invitation.
Eleanor Roosevelt attended.

Rona Wang is an Asian-American who asked an AI software to make her look more professional. What she got back was a photo w/ lighter skin & blue eyes! We MUST make sure AI software isn't pushing racial bias! No race looks more professional than another!https://t.co/q0OaC1xCDR
