I was delighted to support @BelfastBands with an event to launch their Suicide Safer Policy earlier this week.

The event marked the first Safer Suicide Policy signed with Papyrus in Belfast and within the band fraternity.

The Belfast Bands Forum is a shining example of how a community can come together to promote positive cultural expression, building confidence and capacity within the sector and putting a spotlight on those sometimes difficult to discuss issues.

Delighted to be one of the 18 newly trained Mental Health Champions who received their certificates on Thursday evening. Thank you to the guys in the forum who have welcomed me along on this journey with them.

I’m delighted that two Balmoral based bands, @POLV79 and Finaghy True Blues Flute Band were both present to sign up to the policy, highlighting their commitment to Men’s Mental Health.

The forum has big plans, and plenty of passion & determination to deliver them, and I can’t wait to see what they achieve next! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Out with the band today for our end of season day out, to support 2 good bands. 1st stop is Belvoir to support our mates in @POLV79, then later we are on down the Ards peninsula to support @PortavogieRHD at their indoor. Another long season but wouldn't change it. Upa Grens! 🩵💣
