Campaigning to Protect Our North Coast. Raised awareness of Rathlin Energy Ltd's Licence PL3/10. Saw them withdraw their application to drill and 'mini-frac'.
The last Assembly voted unanimously to ban licensing and ALL petroleum/hydrocarbon exploration, drilling and extraction. It would be a momentous step forward to make the necessary legislative change @conormurphysf
Economy Minister @conormurphysf says he wants to ban fracking and other forms of petroleum exploration and production in Northern Ireland. https://t.co/3Vw4Ztg9M9
NI's political parties haven't unanimously agreed on much in recent years...but they did all agree to ban the granting of Petroleum Licences. This now needs to be formalised - so please read the consultation docs and complete the survey to drive forward the law. @CausewayCouncil
ONSHORE PETROLEUM LICENSING POLICY β NOTIFICATION OF CONSULTATION

@SJAMcBride Thank you Dr.Bronckaers for demonstrating the personal and professional integrity which is sadly lacking across many sections of the civil service.
@ShaunaReports@eastantrimmp@Briansmyth99@BBCTalkback@MarkRuffalo@LAMP_FERMANAGH Also, Sammy should know by now that, unless they nationalise oil and gas production, that oil/gas is owned by private companies, sold on the open market to the highest bidder, and does nothing to reduce prices or increase security of supply locally.
@ShaunaReports@eastantrimmp@Briansmyth99@BBCTalkback@MarkRuffalo@LAMP_FERMANAGH Is it really back on the NI table?...UK and BBC table maybe...Sammy talking more as an MP? Does UK government want to force it through in NI somehow? Currently devolved decision. All parties against it in NI. Hatch report confirmed not worth it economically, and bad for health...
Could have filled the room with those affected by dysfunctional planning! Could have filled ALL the rooms in stormont.
Great work by @RDeanBlackwood and other defenders.
More of this type of reporting please @FrankieHargan

A new IPCC Report. Confirmation that the position of @gordonlyons1@duponline & all parties in @niassembly to ban petroleum licensing in NI is 100% necessary. So proud of our representatives in their unity on this issue.
"Our atmosphere today is on steroids, doped with fossil fuels. This is already leading to stronger, longer and more intense extreme weather events" -@WMO SG Petteri Taalas on todayβs release of the #IPCCβs latest #ClimateReport
