“Men Are More Emotional” - Katie Kush vs G | Pouring Stories
When the topic of relationships comes up during Katie Kush's visit to The Pouring Stories Podcast, Katie believes men are more emotional. G on the other hand feels women can be more cold, flicking their love off like a switch... Maybe there is a bit of truth to both sides?

93% of Non-Alcoholic Buyers Still Drink Alcohol
The “militant sober” crowd gets all the attention in non-alcoholic beverage marketing… but they’re not who’s actually buying.
93% of people purchasing non-alcoholic cocktails still drink alcohol at least occasionally.
That means the real opportunity isn’t just for sober guests, it’s for the much larger group of people who want great options when they’re not drinking that night.
If you’re building menus or building a non-alc program, stop designing only for the loud minority and start designing for the actual majority.
Who else is tired of the militant sober narrative dominating this space?
World’s First 100% Agave Vodka: Weber Ranch 1902 Tastes Like Vodka & Tequila Had a Baby! 🍹
If you love vodka’s versatility but want way more character, this is a total game-changer.
The same expert who broke down the Soggy Dollar Bar is now diving into Weber Ranch 1902 Vodka - the world’s first 100% Blue Weber Agave vodka.
The Blue Weber Agave is hand-harvested in Jalisco, Mexico (after growing up to 7 years), distilled there, then finished in Texas using pure Trinity Aquifer water and proprietary copper & Column stills. Named World’s Best Vodka 2024 at the New York World Spirits Competition.
Every bottle is embossed with “F.A.C. Weber 1902,” a nod to French Botanist Frédéric Albert Constantin Weber, who first cataloged this specific species of agave in 1902 during an expedition to Mexico.
As J.R. says: “If you taste it, it’s like vodka and tequila had a baby” - smooth, fruity, with subtle sweetness and depth. Perfect for swapping into Martinis, Margaritas, Palomas, or any vodka/tequila cocktail.

How To Add The BITE In Non-Alcoholic Cocktails! 🔥 (The Secret To Making Mocktails Feel Real)
If a cocktail doesn’t have bite, it just doesn’t feel like drinking.
That’s why the “kick” is everything when you’re making non-alcoholic cocktails or mocktails. One of the most popular ways to create that heat? Capsaicin - and Danny Trejo has a whole line of zero-proof spirits that bring the habanero fire.
What are your favorite ways to add kick to a beverage? Drop your thoughts below 👇

The Legendary Painkiller Born at Soggy Dollar Bar 🏝️🍹
We’re sipping the Painkiller on Pouring Stories. This tropical cocktail invented at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. This beach bar (where you swim ashore and pay with soggy dollar bills) created the ultimate island escape back in the ‘70s. J.R. Starkus breaks down its story while we enjoy our slightly altered version. Pure vacation in a glass.
Original Soggy Dollar Painkiller Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 2 oz Pusser’s Rum
• 4 oz Pineapple Juice
• 1 oz Orange Juice
• 1 oz Cream of Coconut
• Fresh grated nutmeg (for garnish)
Build: Shake all ingredients with ice. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with freshly grated nutmeg.
Who’s making one this weekend? Drop a 🏝️ if you’re in. @jrstarkus@soggydollarbar
