Philadelphia Woman Sentenced to More Than Seven Years in Prison for South Philly Gunpoint Carjacking
Khala Hardy was charged with with conspiracy to commit a carjacking, carjacking, and using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
On the night of March 15, 2024, Hardy and co-conspirator Nyeem Williamson targeted a female driver who was dropping off a friend in South Philadelphia. Hardy approached on the driver’s side of the vehicle, opened the driver door, pointed a gun at the driver, and directed her to “get out and give me your keys.”
Hardy pleaded guilty last July. Williamson pleaded guilty this March and is scheduled to be sentenced in August.

Richard Pridgen, 20, was sentenced to more than 17 years imprisonment for two counts of carjacking and two counts of using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, February 5, 2026.

After a two-year investigation, the MCU, Attorney General’s Office, and PSP dismantled an auto theft ring targeting Honda vehicles and parts. Six search warrants and 10 arrest warrants led to five arrests. The group is tied to $4.2M in thefts.
