Today, the @PhillyPolice Department, law enforcement partners, family, friends, and our community gathered to lay Police Officer Seiber to rest.

Today, we remember the officer, the husband, the father, the friend, and the man behind the badge.

My heart is full! A big shoutout to the Men Who Care of Germantown for hosting their 8th Annual Community Outreach Festival. Great seeing so many familiar faces. Special thanks to Councilwoman Cindy Bass for helping coordinate such a great community event!

Today, 25 years later, we join our partners and neighbors in honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless lives forever changed.

We remember the courage, the sacrifice, and the heroes who answered the call.

We will never forget.

Today I had the opportunity to speak with a new class of Assistant District Attorneys at Broad & Erie in the 39th District as they prepare to be sworn in. We discussed public safety, community trust & police-prosecutor partnerships. Shout-out to G. Lamar Stewart & his team!

First day back for Philadelphia public schools! Great to welcome students at my alma mater, Martin Luther King HS, Class of 1999. A full-circle moment serving as Northwest Police Division Inspector. Wishing our students and staff a safe and successful school year! #BackToSchool

It was good to see families out enjoying the music, activities, food, and community resources @PPD39Dist

[Kevin J. Bethel @PPDCommish]

We can't do this work alone. Safer neighborhoods are built when residents, community leaders, faith leaders, and police work together. It was an honor to recognize some of those partners this week. Thank you for helping make Philadelphia safer! https://t.co/Ncn0LmADJA

[Insp. Westly J. Thomas @PPDInspJThomas]

Today, I pause to remember Chief Inspector Walter E. Smith, a remarkable leader whose influence continues to shape the way I lead.

I had the privilege of being his final direct report before his passing. He exemplified that leadership is never about rank. It’s about character!

[Krista Dahl-Campbell @PPDKCampbell]

Great day yesterday #PhillyNNO2026. I enjoyed spending time at @PPD05Dist and @PPD26Dist. Watching both Districts engage and connect with the communities they serve was a wonderful reminder of what @PPDCommish always says. This work matters!
