PPD Watch 4 congratulates Officers Julee Quintana & Keegan Verdugo, who were recently selected to be 2 of the Department’s newest Police Training Officers! PTOs train & evaluate new officers in the field after they’ve completed the Academy. Way to go, Officers Quintana & Verdugo!

arrived & tried to contact the male, he ran, pulling a pistol from his waistband. The officers pursued him & he was eventually tackled by Ofc. Griffiths. The male was taken to PCDC & booked on numerous charges, as well as 3 arrest warrants. Great work by all of the officers!

At 2:20 this morning, officers responded to Thames Dr. on what was reported to be a drive by shooting. They learned that actually shots were allegedly fired from a white pickup towards another vehicle, neither of which were on scene. Soon, however, Dispatch informed officers…

white pickup near Corona & Cottonwood. The engine was still warm & he could see a gun inside. Ofc. Alan Peil recognized the truck as one he saw leaving the area of Thames Dr. before we knew anyone had been shot. We now have the truck & officers will get a search warrant for it.
