It gives me great pleasure to convey the warmest greetings and best wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives to His Highness Sheikh @TamimBinHamad, Amir of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh @MBA_AlThani, Prime Minister of Qatar, the government and the brotherly people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar. May Qatar have lasting peace and continue to be a beacon of progress and prosperity.
Qatar has been a reliable friend and development partner of the Maldives. Qatar’s many contributions have benefited Maldivians in invaluable ways over the years. I am confident that the excellent ties between the Maldives and Qatar will continue to flourish in the future.
In collaboration with UNDP Maldives, and with support from the EU Maldives through the #AIMproject, an orientation program was conducted on Media Guideline on Reporting Gender Based Violence and Domestic Violence.
This programme aims in sensitizing professionals working with media in addressing and reporting DV and GBV and strengthen prevention efforts against gender-based violence (GBV) and domestic violence (DV).
