Through the #PPRD-NW/SW implemented by UNDP ๐จ๐ฒ, 23 markets have been constructed or rehabilitated in the #NW/SWRegions improving trading conditions, restoring economic activity, and reconnecting communities across affected areas.
H.E. Paul Tasong, President of the #PPRD-NW/SW Steering Committee and #MINDEL-MINEPAT, has commended #UNDP๐จ๐ฒ for its strides as an implementing partner of the Plan during todayโs coordination meeting in Douala, highlighting the progress achieved and the value of sustained collaboration.
In his opening remarks, DRR @mharthansen reaffirmed #UNDPโs continued commitment to support the #Government of ๐จ๐ฒ in implementing the #PPRD, strengthening delivery, and ensuring tangible impact for communities across the #NW/SW regions.
Mathieu @Ciowela and team visited #EducationalFacilities, Islamic Secondary School Buea and GTHS Ombe, #reconstructed and equipped by the #PPRD_NW_SW, through the @UNDP Recovery Programme.
With the schoolsโ authorities and students, they discussed the continued remarkable impact on the lives of learners and teachers, highlighting how the #rehabilitation of the facilities is helping restore access to #QualityEducation and boosting significant growth in student populations. They also exchanged on the importance of promoting gender equality in education to ensure inclusive and safe learning environments for girls and boys alike.
