Our learners carried out an investigation on foods consumed by learners from other classes and recorded their results on a tally table. They then used J2E to create a bar chart to compare food groups to determine whether the class were eating a balanced diet.
What a day we've had @cslcardiff. The learners attended a beautiful service in the Cathedral by Euddogwy House with a fantastic singer and pianist. We had a lovely welcome and made some lovely friendships throughout the day playing outdoor games and some challenging orienteering.
The learners had fun this afternoon exploring and researching @cslcardiff and the beautiful architecture around the grounds, ready for our school visit tomorrow. It's been a great way to explore other surroundings outside our locality and gain a school partner for our Jigsaw PSHE
What a Sports Day we had this year @PenllwynPrimary All the learners gave it their best shot and more than anything, had fun! A big thank you to all the parents that came along to support Dosbarth Aderyn and our other year groups. Diolch.
After a busy morning in our penultimate swimming lesson, the learners returned to put their minds to some expressive arts, designing a sports day kit and logo. We then turned our attention to food chains and finding out how different eco systems work around the world.
Dosbarth Aderyn had a fantastic morning taking part in the #greatwelshicecreamadventure where we learned about the farming community and their important roles they have in our lives. A big thank you to @NFUEducation @NFUCymru_Wales who delivered a lovely session for our learners.
After a work out in the pool this morning, the learners spent time making their fathers day cards, creating some lovely designs. We followed our morning with a class experiment on the digestive system, where we looked at the different roles of organs in our body.
@PPSGwenyn teamed up with @PPSJiraff for their Hula Hoop Challenge. Learners were keen to show off their moves and the competition was very high, with only milliseconds separating the top 5. Thank you all again for those that sponsored the learners.
@PPSLlew and Dosbarth Aderyn gave it their all in the Hula Hoop Challenge. We had loads of fun competing within our own class and a mix class where we had our top 4 Hula Champions. Big thank you to all that sponsored the school and we'll update you on what we have raised. Diolch!
Our Year 4 Jigsaw class discussed who and how we appreciate loved ones. Learners created some lovely abstract pictures of those who are close to us and how these pictures remind us of them. We spoke about colour and the meaning behind them.
Our school home learning task this week was to create something for the environment. Our learner this week created some bird feeders for our school grounds, which they were all keen to present.
Dosbarth Aderyn finished off the week with some army drills, focusing on team work and communication. Lots of fun and giggles while working on our health and wellbeing. They have definitely earned a much needed extended break. Enjoy the bank holiday weekend. πͺπββοΈ
