Knapp Time! Students who get a character buck can put their names in for a drawing for Knapp Time. Knapp Time is fun activities for multi-age groups.

1st and 2nd grade students had fieldwork at Monument Lake as part of their fish expedition. They learned how to fish and were able to see parts of the fish firsthand that they had been studying. #wearecrew

Families is our structure of multiage interaction where students from all age groups come together for a Crew lesson. Each child is placed in a “Family” and have a great time learning and getting to know other students. #wearecrew #WeAreCrewNotPassengers

For the second week of school, the 7th and 8th grade students worked through their History through Writing BBK (Building Background Knowledge) focused on the role of commodities and economics, and they ended the week with a trade and barter simulation.

2nd grade participated in a "Gallery Walk" to record their observations of artifacts that will help them build background knowledge for their fish expedition this semester.

3rd & 4th grade students visited the Denver Zoo. They explored sections of the zoo while focusing on the specific adaptations that animals have to survive in their environment. They made connections to a variety of topics that they have been studying throughout the semester!

3rd and 4th grade students were visited by Mr. Kelly today. He spoke to them about the amazing adaptations of insects and how they use these adaptations to survive. He discussed how insects use their adaptations to thrive in their habitats!

Third and fourth grade students visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. They explored animal adaptations through color and a variety of different habitats.
