Thank you, Speaker Scarpaleggia and Members of Parliament for the warm welcome back to the House of Commons this afternoon. It is always a privilege to witness Canada’s parliamentary tradition in action and even more special to witness Question Period with some of my former seat mates!
Thank you to the Parliamentary Protective Service team for organizing the 2025 “Fill the Cruiser” event in support of the Odawa Native Friendship Centre’s food bank, which is dedicated to serving the Indigenous community. @PPS_SPP@OdawaNFC
Thank you for your generosity during our Fill the Cruiser initiative! 🤝
With your support, PPS was able to deliver essential items to the The Odawa Native Friendship Centre and help families across our community.
Together, we made a real difference.
🌟 Fill the Cruiser with PPS for the Odawa Native Friendship Centre!
On Thursday, December 4, from noon to 1:00 p.m. behind the Centennial Flame, the Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS) will be collecting non-perishable food items.
Thank you for supporting our community!💙
(3/3) Each day, a uniformed @PPS_SPP officer turns the pages of the books to reveal the names of the fallen. People can also search for names of relatives through the @VeteransENG_CA website: https://t.co/O5R0oM9Ox1
(2/3) The Room of Remembrance, located in Parliament Hill’s Visitor Welcome Centre, temporarily houses the books. It’s a solemn space that honours the sacrifices of those who died in service to Canada.
(1/3) When the Memorial Chamber closed for Centre Block’s rehabilitation, the eight Books of Remembrance – honouring the 118,000 Canadians who gave their lives in service to the country – were moved into the Room of Remembrance.
