@henrywinter The sort of game where Bellingham’s limitations as a no 10 were highlighted. A deep lying defence needs to be picked apart by an incisive pass or teasing cross. He’s a great player but that’s not in his locker.
It was never going to be a tea party in Boston but England really made a meal of this group-stage game. They lacked imagination, a touch of magic, a finish. A draw was all England deserved, nothing more. Ghana defended superbly. #ENG#FIFAWorldCup#ENGGHA
Starmer was hated. Says far more about the electorate than the man. Impossible to govern when people want welfare, triple lock, tax loopholes, NIMBYist vetoes, while also hating the low growth, high debt economy this entails. Starmer was a good man leading an ungovernable country
Keir has given huge service to our country and I want to thank him for his leadership and dedication during such a challenging period.
His decision marks the beginning of a transition and it is important that this process is conducted in an orderly and responsible way. I will put myself forward as part of this process.
The country expects stability, seriousness and a continued focus on the issues that matter most and that is what it will get.
As we move forward, our priority must be to work together to get the country back to where we all want it to be. People want to see progress on economic growth, cost of living, public services, housing and opportunities for the next generation. Political change should never distract from the responsibility to improve people's lives.
The Labour movement has always been at its strongest when it looks forward with confidence and purpose. This is what we will do from here and we will make sure this transition is a positive process of renewal for our party and our country.
@PaulEmbery It wasnt just 'music' was it? it was Ode to Joy - the EU Anthem. An entirely unintentional, but brilliant piece of very British satire from a very British moron. Delicious.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, world class is top 3 in your position:
Harry Kane is a top 3 CF
Declan Rice is a top 3 CM
Jude Bellingham is a top 3 #10
Reece James is a top 3 RB
Bukayo Saka is a top 3 RW
At the very least, there’s 5 world class players with players like Marcus Rashford, Elliot Anderson and Nico O’Reilly all on the fringes.
@LutonTownExile Without Shilton in he last qualifier away to Poland, we wouldn't have been at the World Cup
He was absolutely outstanding including a very late, fingertip save onto the bar
On the contrary, we can play our skillful playmakers like Palmer and Foden instead of the useless wingers that we only play because we need pace alongside the cart horse Kane.
I know its always hard to compare players from different era’s but from Englands 1986 & 1990 World cup squads, how many of them could play at the top level in today’s game?

🚨Dear Reformers,
After months of hard campaigning, I hope you can understand that I was utterly shattered and needed some well earned rest and recuperation, which is why this is my first post since stepping down as Chairman.
I leave the role incredibly proud of the unprecedented progress we made during the eleven months I served as party Chairman.
During my tenure, our results were nothing short of phenomenal. We became the largest political party. On average, we welcomed a remarkable 6,000 new members every single month and to top it all off, we made another major breakthrough at the local elections. We gained nearly 1,500 councillors and we took control of 17 new councils. Something the establishment said was impossible.
And I want to be really clear. None of this would have been possible without you, the members and supporters. Your commitment, dedication and passion shines through whenever I meet you.
As I travelled across the country on my Chairman’s Tour and met thousands of you, I was genuinely overwhelmed by the warmth and support I received at every event. Please know that feeling is entirely mutual.
I know Lee Anderson will continue the fight brilliantly, and as someone who has been in Reform for a long time, he knows exactly what it means to be a Reformer.
I now turn my attention to my home county of Suffolk as I look to return to elected politics.
I remain fully convinced that @reformparty_uk is Britain’s last chance. 🇬🇧
I was confident I could of played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had. I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision.
I’ve loved nothing more than putting that shirt on and representing my country over the years.
I wish the players, all the best this summer 🏴
@JuliaHB1@wesstreeting The Brexit referendum was only advisory. It had no clear manifesto of what Brexit would consist of. It was from a decade ago. It won with a 2% majority. Treating it as sacrosanct is undemocratic.
The recent election results show that the revolt of British People's against the establishment, started in 2016, continues. The third and final stage on this journey is a general election. Hopefully @reformparty_uk can beat Burnham in Makerfield then the fallout will allow it
