Unthinking unquestioning. Is Right? aka @DrJohnCosgrove

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

Could there have been a better demonstration of the power of Socratic questioning than that provided by @johnlauner to #BSOLgpe?! Many thx

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

Aha! Why did it take this long for me to remember my password?

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

Should this account continue? I have decided not. Please follow me as the less perplexed @DrJohnCosgrove

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@oohgp Why not? Have I misspoken?

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham Sorry. #torfail

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham follow for DM please? Technical matter only - unrelated to my inability to remember password to deactivate this account!

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

If I can remember my password, I will now delete this account. Why? See my tweets to @amcunningham. Either way, carry on questioning!

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@drjohnbye @amcunningham I will watch your @ mentions carefully, then!

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham No (for the record!). I didn't get as far as seeing the captcha. Bon voyage!

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@drjohnbye Surely reputation of the profession is closely allied to patient safety?

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@drjohnbye @amcunningham I suppose GMC's role is to defend a system of trust by virtue of the source

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham Whether I unmask myself first remains to be seen

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham To be honest, I may therefore use this as an excuse to stop using this account.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham Actually, it has just been too much effort to maintain a second, anonymous, account.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham The main barrier to operating this account has been perfectly mundane.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham It would be a shame if no doctor could enjoy these advantages in future.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham Secondly, it has allowed me to float ideas before I have felt ready to own them in my own name.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham Firstly, without a real world identity, everything I write must be taken on its own merits.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunnigham However, anonymity has provided at least two other advantages.

[Perplexd Practitionr @PPerplexed]

@amcunningham In reality, I found myself even more careful, lest a patient recognise themselves and thus discover my identity.
