@educatorsofnyc @madinatoure This is exactly why there is such a shortage of paraprofessionals, teachers assistants & aides. We can't afford to live in NYC with such low pay. I have 2 college degrees and over 20 years experience. I shouldn't have to work 2-3 jobs to survive #fixparapay

@BaboffMara @TeacherArthurG @NYCMayor Chancellor said that it would be disruptive to close the schools, parents have to work & students rely on meals that the schools provide. Mayor said schools need to be open for students to learn. Closures are a last resort. IMO We could have been remote today like a snow day.
