The workshop concluded with a focus on the procedures for Federal Member States to implement the regulations, the importance of building institutional capacity, and the need for harmonised approaches between the FGS and FMSs to ensure effective adoption. 4/4

PREMIS 2 convened a one-day workshop on Implementing Regulations for the Draft State Revenue Act 2025, bringing together Directors General, Revenue Directors, &Tax Policy Officers from the Ministries of Finance of Jubbaland, Galmudug, South West,& Hirshabelle States. 1/4

Participants reviewed the draft regulations in detail, covering personal & business income tax, rental income tax, goods transportation tax, import tax, sales tax, air passenger tax, property tax, road tax, and the roles of tax authorities & administration. 3/4

The final Steering Committee meeting of PREMIS 2 concluded in Nairobi after 2 days of discussions that brought together representatives from the FGS MoF, finance ministries of four FMSs, a Commissioner from the CSCs, officials from FCDO, & members of the PREMIS 2 team.
