🏏🎾 Spring sports start to think about practice this week in the .Midwest, and there will be a need for indoor time with several shots of rain and even storms. But, when the sun comes out, there should be some nice chunks to the day. Highs into the 60s and even 70s. Solid early spring feel. Keep rain jackets handy. #stlwx

The storm track focused on Iowa to CHI to OH will sag a bit further south on Wednesday, bringing rain chances to Metro STL in the AM and into early afternoon tomorrow. This will cool us off a bit with cloud cover but still expect temps in the 90s and heat indexes >100.
The heat warning is supposed to expire on Wednesday evening, but there's not much relief in site through the wknd and even into next week. Expect hot temps and high humidity and take care of those who don't have AC and spend time outside.
There may be spot storms on Thursday and throughout the period, but the extreme heat is the main headline. #stlwx

Scattered storms this Monday AM are a surprise but show how they can pop up with thess humidity levels. They are slow moving but weakening and have some downpours for the AM commute in a few spots.
The threat of rain will end this AM and then we will see if the cloud cover can hang on to keep temps a bit cooler today but still expect hot and humid conditions - the heat warning remains in effect through Wed PM.

🌡️It's already hot in STL on this Sunday afternoon. Highs will get into the 90s with heat index over 100. The heat watch has been upgraded to an extreme heat warning through Wednesday evening. This is a tough stretch of weather.
🚨Be safe if outdoors or away from AC. Those outside have to take precautions and care of themselves.
❓There can be pop up t storms in an environment like this which can cool things down but also seems to juice the humidity in the aftermath. All eyes on when a more clearly defined cold front can provide relief - that may be as late as Thurs or Fri. #stlwx

Hot weather us building in the STL area. Extreme heat watch begins on Sunday through Wednesday. It appears to be a very hot stretch with ambient temps in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values into the 100s. Hopefully relief comes by Thursday.
Be safe if outdoors and be able to find shade or get to AC...high school sports practices are beginning and this will be a difficult stretch.
Some storms will be floating nearby especially north of STL but not clear if we will see those spot showers which can pop up during summertime heat.

After a good amount of rain for most in the STL area on Thursday, the clouds will move away, and it will start to turn hot. High around 90. Chance of a stray shower or two so can't rule out needing the umbrella entirely.
And the weekend looks hot and humid. Highs in the 90s.

Storms have entered Metro STL this Thursday AM. Expect heavy rain and a tricky commuter. Flash flooding is possible and a flood watch is posted until 1pm this afternoon.
Expect the rain to last until late AM, and then the clouds will keep temps cooler. High around 80.
The front causing these storms sticks around and may generate additional rain on Friday. It should be warmer with a high around 90.

It's a warm day with a high around 90, but we are entering an unsettled period where a front will stall around MO and spin off several rounds of rain and storms so keep the umbrella handy for the next few days.
Rain is nearby this AM in northern MO but that round is expected to weaken. There's a chance of rain late afternoon and evening, but the main event is overnight into Thursday AM. Heavy rain seems likely, and inches of it could fall.
A flood watch has been posted until 10am on Thursday. Use caution during the Thursday AM commute especially. High in the mid 80s due to cloud cover.
More rain is possible for Friday (a little cooler due to the rain) and Friday night before the front clears for the wknd which is looking dry at this point but continued warm - high in low 90s. #stlwx

The light rain that we've had throughout Saturday in the STL area should end overnight. Expect clouds and breezy conditions in the AM, but the sun should pop out. High around 80. May need a jacket to start the day but ends on a nice note especially for early August.

Storms largely spared Metro STL Friday night but areas in central MO and SE MO experiened flash flooding and blown down trees. The low pressure system that caused it is now squatting over IL and will spin occasional rain showers our way throughout the day on Saturday. Breezy and cloudy - it may not reach 80!
The low should move away Sunday AM and bring sunny skies but still a threat of a shower Sunday AM. Highs around 80. Breezy again but should eventually be a nice day.
The start of the work week looks dry and will get a bit warmer - highs into the 80s but could be worse. #stlwx

The rain showed up 1-2 hours earlier than expected this Friday AM, and a Flood advisory is in effect for Metro STL until noon today - that's about when the rain should end. Over 1/2" of rain has fallen at Lambert STL and some places have received well over that. Be safe if driving or in a low lying area.
It will be humid this afternoon, and the sun may come out. High in the mid 80s.
Round #2 occurs this evening and tonight, and the storms are likely to be stronger. Be aware and have indoor back-ups if going out and about tonight.
Clouds and then another shot at rain are likely tomorrow.
Sunday is nicer but still has a threat of rain. #stlwx

Winds turned from the north this AM with a cold front, and the dewpoint (measure of humidity in the air and correlates to heat index) dropped from 78 this afternoon to 74 on Tuesday night. All heat advisories have expired.
Expect temps over the next few days to be in the upper 80s and less humid - much more pleasant than what we experienced over the wknd.

Heat warning for STL area has been downgraded to a heat advisory through Tuesday evening.
Expect the wind to shift subtly tomorrow AM out of the north to bring cooler temps, but we won't feel much of that benefit on Tuesday. High in the low 90s and the heat index around 100.
Wednesday has lower humidity and a high in the upper 80s. Thursday looks decent too before rain chances again on Friday PM. #stlwx

Very hot and humid Sunday...brutal heat index in excess of 110!
Monday has more of the same, and the extreme heat warning is through Monday evening. Heat index over 110; air temp in the upper 90s.
Tuesday will be a few degrees cooler, and, while there's always a threat of a pop-storm in these conditions, widespread rain not expected until later in the week.

It's hot! Warm southerly breeze has brought on increased humidity. There's a heat advisory in place from late Sunday AM through Monday PM.
