गँगा दशहरा और विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर, पथ न्यास ने हरिद्वार के कांगड़ी घाट पर माँ गँगा को समर्पित किए 101 पौधे — हर एक पेड़ माँ गँगा के नाम।

हर पौधा एक प्रार्थना था, माँ गँगा की गोद को फिर से हरा-भरा करने का। स्थानीय जनों के साथ मिलकर किया गया यह अभियान, सिर्फ पौधारोपण नहीं, माँ गँगा के चरणों में श्रद्धा थी।

Endangered #GangeticDolphin population increases to 4000 in #Ganga and its tributaries.

More than half of this population is in #UttarPradesh only, with Chambal #Dolphin Sanctuary counting for 111 dolphins.

नमामि गंगे टीम ने दशाश्वमेध घाट तथा सिद्ध पीठ माता शीतला मंदिर के परिसर में स्वच्छता अभियान भी चलाया व हज़ारों की संख्या में उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं को गंदगी और पॉलिथीन से होने वाले दुष्प्रभावों के बारे में भी बताया।

मकर संक्रांति के पर्व पर काशी में लाखों श्रद्धालु गंगा स्नान करने आते हैं। भीड़ की वजह से कई बार घाटों पर गंदगी हो जाती है। इसके मद्देनजर नमामि गंगे, काशी द्वारा कल दशाश्वमेध घाट पर उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं से गँगा स्वच्छता बनाए रखने की अपील की गई।
