@PanickarS @PanickarS Any thoughts on the 56-inch leader following Indira Gandhi’s playbook? Shutting down metros and trains, and detaining young people to stop them from reaching Delhi tomorrow.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS @PanickarS Point taken.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS @PanickarS നീ കണ്ണടച്ചാൽ നിനക്കല്ലേ ഇരുട്ടാകൂ. എല്ലാർക്കും അങ്ങനെ ആകണം എന്ന് വാശി പിടിക്കരുത്. ഇതു കൊണ്ട് ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലെ സംഘി അമ്മാവന്മാരെ പറ്റിക്കാം. If anything, the EC press release is in fact confirming everything that the IE investigation highlighted.

On Tuesday, the Election Commission said all was well:

The 14 objections by two of its three members were "suggestions," every decision was "unanimous."

With in 48 hours, on Saturday, it issued NINE decisions. Read them against the 14 notes. It's a U-TURN, not in what it says, but in what it does.

And it still leaves some hard Qs unanswered.
Stay with me.

@surendranbjp @surendranbjp
Kerala: 36.9 lakh flagged, all heard, only 53,229 excluded. ~98.6% cleared verification.

Bengal: 27.16 lakh deleted. 22.21 lakh appealed for restoration, but only 1,607 were restored in time to vote.

That is the difference.

Good points on the debate btw.

@openletteryt @grok Is the Open Letter's claims on Savarkar correct? Could you do a detailed fact check and give your final response here?

@PanickarS I told you that 'some' incidents were real while the film can still be propaganda. That’s the whole point: propaganda anchors itself in truth so the distortions slip through unquestioned. Here, truth is the bait and distortion is the hook. And that's the whole argument.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS A film can be rooted in real events and still be propoganda. Infact, that’s when it works best. When you mix facts with distortion, the audience swallows the whole thing as truth. The question isn't if parts are real, its whether the whole was honest. Here, its a clear no.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS And of course ISIS is a real threat, that’s exactly why accuracy matters. When you drop an inflated “32,000 missing” into that context, you’re not informing, you’re amplifying fear with false data. Real threats don’t need fake numbers.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS I am seeing it as a film, that’s the problem. Cinema has always been a tool for shaping perception, from Nazi-era propaganda films to modern “based on true events” dramas. Slip in a false stat in a fear-charged narrative, and you’ve crossed from storytelling into manipulation.

[Gokul @PRGokul]

@PanickarS @PanickarS Your question misses the whole point, the most effective propaganda doesn’t scream, it whispers in the right moment. Slip “32,000 missing” into a highly charged scene and you don’t need to say “joined IS”, the audience will connect the dots exactly as intended.
