Providing stable income and platforming leftist comedians, especially LGBT and POC ones, is smth leftists care about; comedians usually make jokes that reflect their ideologies, e.g. being anti-cop.

In the 19th c, "summer child" just meant a very happy, warm, likeable child, and was extremely common. GRRM played on that.

@spinelessaisha I think the most viable long-term move is for people with the skillset to move to Matrix and use the Discord bridge service. They can help their friends transition over time, we can popularize use without totally uprooting our servers yet, and ideally Matrix will become easier /1

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

The story is BETTER because he became a knight by BEING a knight, not by ceremony. That is the entire point.

I actually do not think there's any real debate to be had at all about GRRM's intention re: whether Dunk was knighted. It's very, very plain that he was not. This is repeatedly alluded to throughout the novellas, and falls only just shy of being outright stated

A lot of people taking this completely literally and saying it’s proof Dunk wasn’t knighted, no this is Dunk imagining if he was knighting Raymun, how his uncertainty would be what Raymun remembers juxtaposed with the almost holy ceremony with which Lyonel dubs him.

It WOULD have been cowardly and unserious, if not for the actions of brave, true knights. THAT is the dramatic irony of the consequences
