Benjamin Asare has etched his name into Ghana’s football history by becoming only the second goalkeeper to help the Black Stars progress from the FIFA World Cup group stage, following the legendary Richard Kingston, who achieved the feat in 2006 and 2010.

The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper has also reached two remarkable milestones:
