Distinguishing quality, reputable journalism can be difficult in the era of mass-marketed media. However, using reasonable standards can help determine if a news source is credible and can be trusted.
The media landscape has changed drastically in the last 30 years. With an uptake in the sheer volume of mass media, it can be difficult to disseminate what content is reputable. However, all content that is produced can generally fall into six categories. #NewsLiteracyWeek

Equal amounts of criticism is not objectivity. That’d be like saying refs should call the same number of penalties on both teams. Objectivity involves applying a single standard, not aiming for equal amounts of criticism.
