Today marked the official closing of the "Promoting Off-Farm Employment and Income through Climate-Responsive Construction Material Production -(PROECCO) programme in #Rwanda.

The City of Kigali Mayor @dusengiyumvas expressed gratitude to the Swiss Government, supported by its Embassy in #Kigali and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, for making this initiative possible.

Mayor Samuel Dusengiyumva highlighted that PROECCO has effectively contributed to addressing the housing shortage by delivering 793 dwelling units in Mpazi and a demonstration unit in Gikondo, all affordable to our communities.

Since 2013, the project has empowered rural and peri-urban brick cooperatives, entrepreneurs, and investors with affordable, innovative brick production technologies, enhancing Rwanda's construction landscape.
