Betonnen boten werden alleen in uitzonderlijke gevallen gebouwd op Nederlandse scheepswerven. Om deze technologie met al haar voordelen nieuw leven in te blazen, ontbreekt het scheepsbouwers en scheepsarchitecten aan kennis over UHPC. Er is nog veel educatief werk nodig.
