Strong intellectual property (IP) rights fuel creativity, innovation and economic growth. On #BritishIPDay2026, we’re pleased to support @AllianceIP and @APPGforIP and look forward to working with the new Government to ensure a strong IP regime and robust protections for songwriters, composers and music publishers.

☀️Not even today’s heatwave could stop our amazing Comms team from heading out in person!
We had a fantastic time visiting the team at @bucksmusicgroup. Our Ilaria (pictured!) and Mo gave a presentation highlighting the vital support we provide to @prsformusic creators.🎶❤️
We strongly support the recommendations made by the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee’s report on EU touring, this is a timely and important intervention.
PRS for Music data shows a 22% decline in small and medium-sized EU performances reported by our members between 2019 and 2024 - securing practical solutions to help touring in the EU must now be a priority.
As a co-founder of the Cultural Exchange Coalition, we urge the Government to deliver meaningful progress at the UK–EU Summit next month, and remove all touring barriers artists now face when trying to perform live in the EU.

Congratulations to PRS members Terry Britten and Graham Lyle on their official induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
As the brilliant minds behind timeless, generation-defining anthems like Tina Turner’s 'What's Love Got to Do with It', their catalog is a masterclass in the art of the song. From classic pop to soulful rock, their music has shaped the global soundtrack for decades.
Thank you for the music, your SHOF induction is thoroughly deserved.

Everyone at PRS for Music is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the visionary Dr. Kanya King CBE, an extraordinary pioneer who fundamentally reshaped the British music landscape.
As the powerhouse founder of the @MOBOAwards, Kanya was a tireless champion for diversity, inclusion, and the recognition of exceptional talent that the mainstream had long overlooked.
Beyond her monumental work on the global stage, Kanya was a cherished friend and inspiration to us closer to home. In March 2023, we were incredibly fortunate to welcome Kanya to the office, where she spoke passionately to our team about her career journey.
She shared the fierce determination, resilience, and vision required to build the MOBOs from a single, self-funded event into an international cultural institution. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering belief in the power of music left an indelible mark on everyone in the room that day.
We extend our deepest condolences to Kanya’s family, friends, and the countless artists and industry professionals whose lives she touched.
