@StephenKing Dear Mr King,
members of the canine minority love short tails, but this time you lost me on page 1. Couldn’t make head nor tail of it.
I didn’t get Fairy Tail either - they don’t have tails. Authors shouldn’t skimp on research.
Love the rest of your books,
Ebenezer Poodle
Book tokens! As if you need another reason to love this unique book shop. So glad I stumbled upon it last Saturday & Niall, Andrew and Tim explained it all to my overwhelmed mind. Great book tips, guys- thanks and I will see you again
I am overjoyed to announce that The Book Dragon is now an official member of the National Book Token scheme!!
From Monday 13th March 2023 we will be officially stocking National Book Tokens and also accepting National Book Tokens for all of our Authors Books.
@PlackittBooth ‘s very cool #AHeartFullOfHeadstones lunch event in Lytham was packed (even if in pic #1 it looks like Ian & I were alone). Pic #2 shows the scrum for the signing right after @Beathhigh ‘s cracking talk. Now it’s me & the dog vs. the new #rebus - thanks all!
My @peterjamesuk#DeadSimple first edition is defective 😭😭😭 Between page 1 and p114 the van changes from green to white! Either that or they forgot the respray scene in the @itvhub episode… If Peter hadn’t written a fab dedication in my #PictureYouDead I’d be heartbroken 💔
@SEvanTownsend#amwritingslowly too. We’ll get there. Who cares if Dean Koontz (replace with speedy author to suit your taste) can write 17 books a year: think “Achilles vs. Tortoise”

@AMaltmanWrites @JeffSBrayAuthor Haha. 4 of my dogs are fine with thunder, but the 5th would be on my lap, expecting me to make it stop. No thunder, please
Got my ticket and I am enjoying my last few weeks of living in a world with a #Rebus book I haven’t read yet. A world in which I’ve read them all of @Beathhigh ‘s books is arguably richer but the joyful anticipation gives me a buzz 🐝
Awake. My phone in my sleep drunk fist shows “04:54”.
Overslept! Why hasn’t the alarm gone off? Did I turn it off? As I think this…
My alarm shrieks in the dark.
I dab the tiny “Stop” button. The clock reads “04:00”. I must have dreamt the first awakening.
And this time I’ve cracked it. Absolutely smashed it.
I review the perfect result. The snappy dialog makes even me laugh. Characters leap from the page with personality, motivation and history. Each detail convinces. Prose like Stephen King in his prime.
