With the Board of Governors ratification, the new collective agreement for PSAC 610 is now official.
All Teaching Assistants are proceeding with Return to Work protocols. If there are any questions about this process, please contact PSAC 610 directly.
The Board of Governors has ratified the new collective agreement between Graduate Teaching Assistants and Western University.
Our strike achieved several things, including a significant monetary gain and almost all of the clawbacks language we were asking for.
We will continue to strike until our demands are met! Without strong clawback language in our collective agreement we cannot guarantee a real monetary increase for our members #RespectOurResearch#StarvingMustangs#WesternTAsOnStrike
This weekend OFL Executive Vice-President @JackieOfl joined striking Western University Graduate TAs, members of @PSACOntario Local 610 on the picket line.

We appreciate all the support the Grad Club has given us so far and we care very deeply about its employees! We hope that we can reach a deal soon, and that their business can continue to thrive. Anyone who is doing research or studying can still visit the Grad Club ✊
Due to the ongoing PSAC 610 GTA strike at Western, we are cancelling Rick McGhie's weekly performances and the upcoming Open Mic Night (scheduled for April 29) until the strike is over.
We stand in solidarity with @PSAC610.
There was a bit of thunder and lightning this morning, so our picketing will be postponed a couple of hours but we are still out here! Members, check your emails and come to HQ to sign in and we'll get you on the line soon
I love code words that don’t go together. For example, exams going on “as normal” but also reminding faculty if they know what to do in certain situations “…should there not be enough proctors present.” I also detected a little gaslighting in there. It’s on me to be prepared…
Who’s left behind when Westerns claims that it’s “business as usual” without its TAs? What happens to the thousands of accommodation requests? Often the only people that disabled students know who to reach out to is their TAs. What happens when their TAs can’t be there? @PSAC610
@uwofa1 Member John Reed on the picket line with his graduate teaching assistants for MIT 1020E! The faculty solidarity with @PSAC610@PSACOntario is immense.
Western does not want to own up to its pedagogical crimes in putting unqualified people to mark its exams
Joined @PSAC610 at Western University in solidarity with teaching assistants. TAs play a huge role in supporting students and keeping universities running. They deserve to be paid fair wages that reflect the rising cost of living. #onpoli#onPSE#FairDealNow#StrikeAtWestern

We are on strike! Over 600 members came out to the picket line yesterday! Watch this space for more updates. Western cannot handle it when our labour is withdrawn
Looking forward to the rally today (Thursday April 4), 2 pm on UC Hill at @WesternU with @PSAC610, also @uwofa1 members & others !
Help avert a #StrikeAtWestern by demanding a #FairDealNow for graduate teaching assistants!
