Congrats to PSAD Vice Chair @jackie_sturt and colleagues who have won a grant from @NIHRresearch & @DiabetesUK to reduce and prevent diabetes distress in clinical practice in the UK 👏👏👏
Type 1 diabetes distress is very common, and can make living with the condition incredibly difficult 💙
So we've teamed up again with the National Institute for Health and Care Research to co-fund a new project to tackle diabetes distress👏

It was fantastic to welcome some @dedocORG voices to our conference last month - @glucomundo & @Lironmeidan77 - here is their blog about their experiences
In April, #dedoc° voices @Lironmeidan77 and @glucomundo represented the voice of people with #diabetes at the PSAD Study Group.
Multidisciplinary experts came together to discuss the latest advancements in the field of diabetes and psychosocial aspects.

@janespeight@EASDnews@UCSF Day 1 was also an important opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, get to know new colleagues and put the “social” into “psychosocial”.
We can’t wait for Day 2!
@janespeight@EASDnews The program concluded with the Anita Carlson Lecture given by Prof Dr Larry Fisher @UCSF discussing why we need to talk about the emotional side of diabetes
@CamAPS_FX@DiabetesUK But it’s not all about blood sugar levels🩸
Prof Hovorka moves on to what we’ve learnt about the psychological benefits & impact on quality of life. Better sleep, less worry, removing some of the relentlessness of managing diabetes, and more. #DUKPC
