The best part of teaching will always be the RELATIONSHIPS that I build with students each year❤️
A former of student of mine comes in to say “good morning Miss Sieverts” every single day without fail. Today’s visit brought a lot of smiles and holiday cheer.
Holiday = made 🥹
One of my favorite days of the year☃️
We started with a *surprise* teacher vs. students snowball fight😜 We played other fun snow ball and solo cup games, and made a snowflake craft❄️
Thanks to our amazing homeroom parents for helping to make our holiday party a huge success☺️
After reading “The Magic Snowflake,” we made our own snowflake ornaments to decorate our class tree!!! Third graders had so much fun creating their own snowflakes and hanging them on the tree with their classmates❄️❄️ #classroomfamily
Science makes us jump for joy!!! Today we started learning about gravity. Students worked with a partner to collect data on how high they can jump on Earth🌎. Tomorrow we will graph our data and calculate out how high we’d be able to jump on the moon, as well as other planets🌖🪐
Today we used @MysterySci to begin our lesson on gravity!! We collected data on how high we can jump on Earth. Tomorrow we will graph our data and calculate out how high we’d be able to jump on the moon, Mars, Neptune and other places in our solar system! Thanks @PSDSieverts!
More moon fun with @PSD_EReichert!!! This Halloween🎃 morning, third graders did a moon phases project with Oreos. We used toothpicks as tools to carve out the cream as needed to show all of the phases of the moon🌙 #scienceisfun
We love when @PSD_EReichert visits our classroom, especially for science!! Today, these third graders learned about the different phases of the moon and created a diagram to keep in their science notebooks for future reference! 📓🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘
We couldn’t end the school year without one more Sieverts selfie🤳🏽 These third graders achieved and conquered and they did it TOGETHER. I am so proud of each and every one of them for moving mountains this year. Next stop, fourth grade!!!💚 @PSDGrasse
Science has quickly become our favorite part of our mornings☀️ Today, we learned more about camouflage and mimicry with a Mystery Science lesson. We got to design our own 🦋 and 🌸 and have a class discussion about what made our designs stand out or blend in! @PSDGrasse
Science got hands on today as we explored animal adaptations🦆🦜@PSDGrasse 3rd graders got to test different “beaks” to see which was more efficient for gathering food and which was more precise. Thank you @PSD_EReichert for always making “sciencing” a blast😁
Countdown with KINDNESS💙 We are counting down to the last day of school by showing kindness each day to one of our classmates by making them a poster full of positive words and compliments☺️ #classroomfamily#spreadkindness @PSDGrasse
Major sciencing happening this morning🔍 It’s about to be chrysalis season and 3rd graders are recording their last few observations of their caterpillars before they start to transform🐛🦋 @PSD_EReichert @PSDGrasse
Today, we turned our classroom into a campsite!⛺️🔦 For our marble jar reward, @PSDGrasse third graders became campers for the day and had a blast! Cherishing these last few weeks full of special memories together💚
@PSDGrasse third graders practiced counting money and making change at the “Bunny Bakery”🐰 Each student started with $5 of play money to buy a bunny cookie and toppings. Our brains acted as the cash registers to calculate our change when we “purchased” toppings! #mathissweet
Baseball Multiplication…Fightin’ Phils edition⚾️ Today, we had some fun with the Everyday Math game “Baseball Multiplication.” We made it @Phillies themed with our game pieces and games mats. It was a home run for engagement!!!🏟️ @PSDGrasse
Lucky to be a teacher☘️💚 Third grade had a busy day of St. Patrick’s festivities like making Irish potatoes, writing about reasons we are lucky, and ending the our Friday with following a directed drawing of our @PSDGrasse mascot-Lucky!!! #bulldogpride
We had a blast reading across the world at @PSDGrasse 🌎📚 from a drop everything and read in the Great Barrier Reef, to Zumba brain breaks in Africa, we had such a fun-filled week thanks to @MulloyMrs and @PSD_Yannarella 💛
