Last night’s fast-moving thunderstorms brought heavy rains and strong, gusty winds throughout the state, particularly in towns like Cedar Grove, Glen Ridge and the Oranges. These conditions brought tree limbs down on power lines, resulting in power outages. ⛈️

While our crews have restored approximately 37,000 outages overnight, some restorations, like fixing downed power lines that go through backyards, present a unique challenge and may take longer — check out this video to learn more.
