Northrop Grumman announced on October 10, 2026, that 21 of its satellites were successfully launched and deployed for the U.S. Space Development Agency’s (SDA) Tranche 1 Transport Layer (T1TL), advancing the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) designed to provide resilient, low-latency military communications.

The satellites are designed to extend Link 16 tactical data connectivity into space, supporting rapid information exchange between satellites and military forces. The Transport Layer forms part of SDA’s broader architecture supporting missile warning, tracking, and secure communications.

Key Capabilities:
▪️ Satellite Deployment: 21 Northrop Grumman-built T1TL satellites successfully launched and deployed.
▪️ Tactical Connectivity: Designed to extend Link 16, a secure, high-speed, jam-resistant military data network, into space.
