Tuberculosis treatment is only effective when patients are supported throughout their entire care journey.

In Nyandarua County, PS Kenya brought together facility and community health teams for a TB data review focused on strengthening patient follow-up, treatment support, and continuity of care. The review examined key program indicators, including missed appointments, treatment interruptions, contact tracing, and case finding, to identify practical actions that can improve patient retention and treatment outcomes.

By using data to guide action, healthcare teams are better equipped to identify patients at risk of treatment interruption, strengthen follow-up mechanisms, and ensure timely support for those who miss clinic visits.

These efforts contribute to stronger #TBCare systems, improved treatment completion, and reduced transmission, bringing communities closer to a future free from tuberculosis.

UDHS 2022, 17.4% add raw salt in food daily, 31.1% of the population takes alcohol, 8.3% smoke daily - are they doing self care or self danger ?.

Also, 9.2% are obese, 23.5% are overweight, diabetes is at 3.3% & Hypertension is at 23.8%- what can they do to observe selfcare ?.

9 in 10 men & 8 in 10 women, in Uganda didn't add a fruit or vegetable on their plate today.

What does this mean for you ? - Selfcare must start as soon as possible to mitigate the rising of diet related diseases but also empower the population in Uganda.

This Selfcare meeting was convened by @MinofHealthUG & @cehurduganda .
