Joe DeMayo

Co-Host: The Mets Pod @SNYtv. I also write about prospects and the MLB Draft. My opinions are mine and they’re usually pretty good

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

My new Mets top 30 prospect list for @SNYtv is live!

Give it a read!

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@ShaunMorash Going from a guy who needed to be cut to a guy that might need an extension

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

Mariano Duncan is the best

[SNY Mets @SNY_Mets]

The Mets are hiring Mariano Duncan to their MLB coaching staff, per @Joelsherman1

Duncan, a 12-year MLB veteran, has been serving the role of bench coach for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in the Mets' organization

He is expected to "help in multiple areas with the position player group"

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

It’s almost offseason time

I will be joined on a new episode of The Mets Pod for @SNYtv by @WillSammon breaking down everything Mets heading into what is likely to be a crazy November

Got questions? Drop ‘em here to get into the mailbag segment

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@anthonymazzajr @ShaunMorash @EvanRobertsWFAN Wilson’s still awesome, not his fault that they won’t throw him the ball haha

But Shaun is gonna win that one

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@KodyDuncanPGH LOL

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@SkywalkerSteele Yeah idk if it’s the right play

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@KevinGraySports What difference does an admission make?

Whether they admit it or not, they need help on the edge

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@PNYMfan7 Alex Vesia, a reunion with Raley or Minter, Steven Okert, JoJo Romero among some named

There’s plenty of available LHRP

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

I love Adrian Morejon

But if he gets a QO, I’m out

[SNY @SNYtv]

"Given Morejon's age and dominance, he's likely in line for a pretty big deal in terms of both average annual value and years."

Pros and Cons: Should the Mets sign Adrian Morejon? (via @DannyAbriano) https://t.co/4bwm72LPEk

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@1053SS Seriously

Where is there ANY idea that a QB from 30 yrs ago who is a broadcaster with zero football front office knowledge magically can run a football ops dept?

It’s not just watching tape and talking about it lol. Maybe he’d do well but the odds would be stacked against him

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@DTG616 @Doc4MetsJets U serious with #2?

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@Doc4MetsJets @DTG616 Can’t worry about that. Make what you think are the best moves you can, cannot predict the future

If it at all enters their mind that the fans might get mad at them, they’re doing the whole thing wrong anyway

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@1053SS Gotta have confidence

But I don’t think there is evidence of this being true

I think he’s a heck of a weekday coach and he struggles to adjust on game day

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@WexlerRules @James_Schiano @GiraffeNeckMarc I’m just throwing out names. Not advocating anyone in particular yet

My #1 is pursue Sato, we’ll see if Mets agree

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@MetalTom531 @James_Schiano @GiraffeNeckMarc Eh. I don’t trust him necessarily. Hasn’t played enough baseball, and Mets need to take less health risks this time around

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@zachTNT @chelsea_janes It’s simply not good enough

I get what you’re trying to say, but they literally had the lowest fWAR from 1B in the sport

The solution isn’t here. They need to find one, and I’ll take the chance on how it’ll fit

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@fishsports Find a way to win the NFC East, basically guarantees the pick is in the 20’s

And even if they get it with a suboptimal record, I don’t know that a healthy Cowboys team is one I’d be begging to face as an opposing team

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@SteveGelbs Dude is passionate and wants to win, and specifically wants to win with the Jets

Trading him doesn’t expedite the timeline for winning, it delays that timeline

I’m not even a Jets fan, but I can see it from a mile away

He’s elite and young. Building block for your next QB

[SNY Mets @SNY_Mets]

"I definitely think that he feels some urgency"

On The Mets Pod, @PSLToFlushing and @chelsea_janes discuss what role Steve Cohen can play in offseason moves for the Mets

[Joe DeMayo @PSLToFlushing]

@johnsaponaro @Poison_IBBY @TilMetsDoUsPart Damn

Hope it’s alright !
