Welfare & protection of children is crucial to the well-being of any society.
#PSO participated in launching of the “Child & Family Welfare Act 2017”.
This Act give certain powers to social welfare officers to support & care for children & welfare of families.

The need to ensure #justice is delivered effectively in remote locations cannot be overstated. With @AusHCSols support, 3 new vehicles were handed over to the #PSO to ensure remote communities in the provinces of Guadalcanal, Western & Makira have effective access to justice.

The 3rd series of workshops targeting youth was held in Makira, where they learnt the functions of justice agencies, such as the #PSO.

Launch of new PSO office in #Munda will support the provision of efficient legal aid services to those in need & enable the #PSO to rise, to meet the demand for justice services.
