Hack to the Future 3.0 – Odisha Edition concluded successfully at IIT Bhubaneswar after four inspiring days of innovation and learning. The event celebrated the students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities and vision for a progressive and empowered Odisha.
Centered on the theme ‘Shaping Future, Young People Solving Learning and Exploring Emerging Technologies’, the hackathon brought together Govt Secondary School students from across Odisha to showcase technology driven projects and engage in hands on learning in AI and technology.
Through UDAAN, the team aims to empower girls with the right information, encourage community awareness and provide access to support systems for a safer and brighter future. The project was presented as part of Hack to the Future 3.0 – Odisha Edition.
Meet Arati Pradhan, Sweet Pradhan and Rudra Pratap Sahu from Ganjam district, who developed “UDAAN” - a mobile application designed to spread awareness and help prevent early marriage.

The app includes sections on awareness, parent guidance, government schemes for girl children, rights & laws, help & support and success stories to educate and support girls vulnerable to child marriage.
Their innovative solution aims to support timely intervention, reduce damage to forests and wildlife and contribute towards environmental protection through technology-driven solutions.
As part of Hack to the Future 3.0 – Odisha Edition, Dibya Nag, Swati Bachha, and Mamashri Sahu, class 10th students from Kalahandi district, developed an innovative project on "Forest Fire Detection".

The team designed a web and mobile application that can help in the early detection of forest fires by identifying fire-prone situations, providing the exact location of the incident and sending alert signals for quick response and action.
