Despite his injuries, Detective McDonald went on to publicly forgive the teenager. Conor talks about his father’s life, his message of forgiveness, the Catholic faith that gave him the courage to forgive, and what that message means for all of us.
No one WANTS to feel alone, isolated, treated as an outsider. But there are tons of people who are not embraced and welcomed warmly. We tend to stick to our own crowd, to be around people we know and feel secure about. I believe that Jesus expects more of us.
