@JenniferSey As they said on KFI this morning "Pratt is very right wing". They don't care if that's true or not. They don't care what that means policy-wise. All that matters is he's not-liberal. That makes him evil incarnate and anathema.
@ssnhari1@DanielDiMartino@ShaneEBurns It's far worse further down the economic ladder. It's the no-skill people who are getting the brunt of it. Everyone can do no-skill labor. The larger the supply, the lower the wages.
You ask, “Why do the people of Los Angeles keep voting for the person who let their city burn and become a drug infested homeless encampment?!”
It’s like asking, “Why did the Germans keep fighting when Hitler was in the Bunker?!”
The Leftist elites in Los Angeles have ideologically captured enough gullible Liberals through a combination of the large percentage of Angelinos that get ‘free stuff’ and want to keep getting their ‘free stuff’ and the rest who are brainwashed by Democrat fear that while their town is a burnt out homeless
sh!tbox, somehow the other side is worse and it their ‘moral duty’ to keep those ‘evil’ republicans from running what part of their city that isn’t already ruined.
Okay: They know the party registrations of the mailed ballots. A Bass's lead looks more solid because they expect more D ballots to arrive. Pratt's lead looks less solid because they expect more D ballots to arrive.
Ballots received by end of day next Tuesday are counted.
On the radio this morning: "Pratt is very far right". That's all that matters around here. He's on the right, and therefor an evil fascist Nazi. Nothing else matters to voters here. D's are good people, R's are evil. If you don't want to be evil, vote D! That's the entire depth of thinking for the majority of people.
Henry Nowak’s family have lost their son and brother in the most appalling circumstances.
Nigel Farage is exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division.
It’s completely unforgivable.
@EricLDaugh Not a chance in hell. Los Angeles is liberal. It is tribal. People here deeply believe every non-liberal is a fascist Nazi. They would rather their city burn than vote not-Dem. That's what good people do, you see.
FROM A FRIEND IN CALI 🚨
California polling is absolutely insane.
I roll up, no Identification no ballot and ask if they can print me out a ballot. They say sure. Whats the first 3 letters of your last name and first 3 letters of your first name? Sil and Chr
They come back with Christian Silviera on Ripon rd. Easily could have said yes but didn't. Went through about 20 names until he found mine with the correct address. Prints it out and sends me to a station to fill it out. Now I guarantee there's professional voters running around this state just spitting names out and hitting up as many locations as they can. This isn't fair elections it's pure corruption.
In Florida you showed up, handed your identification over to be scanned then it was printed out and you were removed from a list. That seems a whole lot more sensible than this operation.
A person walks in to an employer and says, I can do the work of one of you employees just as well, but will take 30% less compensation for the same job, and I know a bunch if other people who can do the same.
If the employer doesn't take the deal, the person goes to the business's competitor, who does. The first business starts losing bids to their competitor because the other company has the competitive advantage of lower wages. They go out of business and their workers are let go.
If the employer hires the cheaper workers, the original workers are let go.
Cheap labor drives down wages. The business benefits, and you can argue that the economy as a whole may benefit; but, when this is happening at scale, across industries, the effect of downwards pressure on wages must also be considered.
@EricLDaugh Every Raman vote goes to Bass in the general. Bass has no need to be panicked. Pratt might pick up a few percent, but he'll never get much above 40%. This is a mindlessly Democrat city. They vote blue no matter who. It will be Bass in November.
Bottom line on California's governor and Los Angeles's mayoral races: neither Hilton nor Pratt really moved the needle. This state is a 60/40 Dem to Rep state, L.A. is probably more like 70/30. That's their vote total. The Dem candidates won the Dem vote, and the non-Dem won that vote. It looks like the leftist tribe will hold.
Most liberals here believe anyone without a D after their name is evil and would never consider voting outside their tribe. I wouldn't count on either Hilton or Pratt to make any inroads into that segment of voters.
Come November, it will be Beccera and Bass.
God help us.
The UK's ambitious new climate target will "future-proof" the country by accelerating cleaner, better technology, the climate minister tells Sky's @SeabrookClimate in an exclusive interview.
🚨 WOW! CNN just randomly found a DEMOCRAT and FORMER HOMELESS person in Los Angeles who said he's voting *Spencer Pratt*
This is great news, Pratt was right, he has DEMOCRAT VOTERS! 🔥
CNN: As a DEMOCRAT, you're voting Spencer Pratt?
VOTER: I like his approach to homeless. As a person who was homeless myself. I was able to change my life, 10 years sober...his approach is REALLY good. I think it's fair for him to go into the runoff with Karen Bass, so they can prove why they deserve my vote.

Your child's school has an assistant superintendent for curriculum, an assistant superintendent for instruction, a director of teaching and learning, and a coordinator of academic services. Your child's teacher has thirty-two kids and no copy paper. This is not a funding problem. It is a priority problem.
