@MikeCosper What's crazy about Mamdani, Mike? You might disagree with his politics, but he's been pretty sane and relatable without stroking any fearmongering throughout this whole race.
When we Christians are more known for our support of presidents than we are for our support of the poor, the immigrant, the marginalized, and the oppressed, that is when we know we are following someone other than Jesus and we have a lot of repenting to do.
Far be it from us to pump the brakes when we realize our "dominion" has led to destruction! No, the consumption and domination of our earth must march forward.
This is what happens when you only understand words like "dominion" and "subdue" etc that are used in the creation mandate are based on a hierarchical, consumerist reading. So "subdue" generally becomes "extract by any means necessary." "Dominion" becomes "domination."
In Genesis, God commands mankind to "have dominion" over Nature. The Los Angeles fires are what happens when they do the opposite.

Can Red Sox/baseball Twitter stop talking about that woman who has three favorite teams? Like okay it's annoying but it's more annoying to see 3-4 tweets about her every time I log on
@PastorBenMarsh There are a lot of opportunities in reaching people in the US today, and fortunately a lot of them revolve around things the early Church was doing rather than what the current Evangelical church is.
Hi all,
I've just finished a project that, while not perfect, I worked very hard on and reached my goal of completing before the election. I would appreciate a view if you have the time: https://t.co/Tf6dvzWWVC
People will talk about the "excesses" of #MeToo as if it made the pendulum swing too far back; meanwhile you have dozens of testimonies like this about a man who in all likelihood will be elected president again and people will just shrug.
The pendulum has barely moved.
when early christians said “jesus is lord” it was a protest against calling caesar “lord” so christians today saying “jesus is lord” as a way to support a candidate who is like caesar is directly against the reason why early christians said it
