“Every day, I pray for the grace to honestly say, Father, I am indifferent to every outcome except your will. I want nothing more or less than your desire for what I do...” - Pete Scazarro
@ZachLowy@Utdtriv Right, American football wouldn’t exist without a line of scrimmage where you can’t cross it — and if you do it’s offsides or encroachment. And who says the current NFL rules around offensive interference aren’t subjective and also game changing?
@UnfilteredSoccr@landondonovan Good take! Agree with this as well. Some players we thought had great quality looked not so great. Hopefully they can rebound if or when called upon!
@TaylorTwellman Not sure how they became less competitive??? We are still gonna have the big names in the finals. I love the 48 team tournament and more goals = more excitement (especially for USA audience). Haiti, Curaçao, Cape Verde, they’ve all shown they can produce brilliant moments.
@WesleyLHuff@DennyBurk Early and Patristic use of the word carries a negative connotation and that together with didaskalos shows us a kind of teaching that Paul forbade in Ephesus (and probably elsewhere)
@WesleyLHuff@DennyBurk Someone with a modicum of Greek ability knows that this statement on authority (authenten) is problematic:
“(Paul) has specifically forbidden women from exercising authority over men—which would include apostles (1 Tim. 2:12).”
No pastor is given “authenten” over others.
@jdgreear JD I hear you, however the amount of soft tissue around the contact areas in soccer (top of the foot, heels, shins) it’s most often the case that the player is truly in a lot of pain. I learned this after playing soccer as an adult having played other sports in college and hs.
