Kofoworola Abeni Pratt was the 1st Black Nurse to work for the NHS.

After moving to Britain in 1946, she qualified as a Nurse in 1950 despite racial discrimination.

She later returned to Nigeria rising to Minister of Health. She passed away in 1992 aged 77.
