This is the voice of Ahmad Khodaie, husband of Salehe Akbari an Iranian nurse.
In January, she sheltered wounded protesters in her home and treated them. Days later, IRGC forces raided the house. They beat the husband, she stepped in to protect him and was shot and killed in front of him and their 8-month old baby.

In this voice message, recorded before he took his own life, he recounts it. He had already endured prison broken ribs, kidney damage but said that pain was nothing compared to what they did to his wife.

They violated her dignity even after death and used it to torment him.
They took her phone in morgue, used her finger to open the screen.
Sent him a message saying “I’m holding your wife’s VG in my hand”
Took a picture of it and sent it to him.
This is what that brutality looks like. This is what it leaves behind.
He committed suicide.
