Australia’s housing slowdown is no longer just a property story—it’s becoming an economy story.
🏠 Higher mortgage rates + changes to investor tax rules are cooling demand.
📉 Fewer home sales mean less work for agents, tradies, removalists and retailers.
💰 States are collecting less stamp duty, banks are seeing weaker loan demand, and consumer spending is slowing.
Property has long been Australia’s economic engine. When housing stalls, the effects ripple through the entire economy.
